If you've upgraded to Microsoft® Windows Vista®, you may have noticed that the way you use PrimoPDF has changed a bit. Vista's
User Account Control (UAC) feature prompts you to authorize any tasks that require administrator user rights, preventing unwanted
changes from being made to your computer without your knowledge. However, it's easy to take out this extra step when using trusted
software:
To turn off User Account Control (UAC) for PrimoPDF
- Click Start, and then point to All Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer.
- From Windows Explorer, navigate to the directory
C:\Program Files\activepdf\PrimoPDF.
- Locate and right-click the PrimoPDF.exe file and select Properties. Click the Security tab and then click Edit.
- Select Users fromt he list of user names and check Allow for the Full Control permissions option. Click Apply and then exit the Properties window.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the Primorun.exe file in the
C:\Program Files\activepdf\PrimoPDF directory.
PrimoPDF now has permission to convert your files to PDF, with no additional steps required
